Is He Lord of it?

Yesterday in our ABF class (Sunday school) are lesson was about Jesus and God and how they are of the same and how do we think of Jesus. We read Hebrews 1:1-4...

"God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the father by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, who he has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent then they."

We talked about how the prophets were important here on this earth BUT Jesus was and is over them. He gave them their words; the very words of God. Jesus spoke exactly those words and gave all the glory to His Father. And because of Jesus' obedience to His Father... he know gets to be heir of all beautiful things His Father made.

Can you even imagine what Jesus must have been like? I imagine Him being someone that could lure someone in with this fragrance (I don't mean His smell), but this glow of the One most holy, the brightness, the glow, the light. That anyone could see/"smell" Him a mile away. Jesus was just like God... He was imprinted like a stamp... so very perfect and exact. *sigh*

John the Baptist knew... he could totally "smell" Jesus and see the glow. John knew He was a special gift from the Lord God Almighty.

"John bore witness to Him and cried out, saying, "This is He whom I said, 'he who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'" And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1:15-17

I can't wait until the day I get to go to heaven and meet my heavenly Father and hear all the loud praising. What thrill!!!

Here is what I am going to be working on and I hope you will too. Give all the glory to God!

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror." James 1:22,23

So live it up and be fruitful. Bring glory to your image of God, firstborn, Creator, beginning, fully human, servant, obedient, exalted, strong, holy blamless Lord Jesus!
