Hailee is 5 TODAY!

Hailee turned 5 today and I think it was a pretty great day for her. We woke up this morning and Heidi and I went into Hailee's room and sang Happy Birthday to her (Bob was on a breakfast run). Then she said "when is it my birday?" LOL! Crazy kid! She had the breakfast she wanted... kolaches and donut holes :o). Then she opened presents from us, Grandpa Steeber, Nana, Michelle, and Meghan, Aunt Joy Joy, and Carmen. Hailee got of great things :o).

Bob and I continued to get brithday party stuff together. We had a few little hiccups through out the day. We rented a bouncer/moonwalk for the kids to jump in and I was told they were going to be here around 9-10 a.m. to set it up... well it was about 10:30 a.m. and I had Bob call and see what time it might be dropped off at. Well to make a long story short... they had us down for the wrong date (their fault). She said they were going to have it over between 12-1... I had been fine through all this moonwalk drama (much more has happened with this moonwalk co.) anyways... I was getting pretty nerves as 12:00 p.m. came around and no one was here with the bouncer and we still had so much to do. They did get here 4 min. before 1:00 p.m. (mama was about to be a not so happy mama). All turned out good though.

Then around 12:30 p.m. Bob went to blow balloons up at Party City (like we always do with no problem). Bob got the balloons and headed to the balloon blow up station and there was an hour and a half wait (We had NO time to wait). Bob headed to Brookshire Brothers and they were out of helium... then he headed to Kroger and they could do it. It was 2:00 p.m. when he got to Kroger and there was one women helping him get them blown up. Bob got home around 2:30 p.m. and we were rushing around like chickens with our heads cut off. And of course family was showing up right at that crazy time, but you know what... it all worked out.

I think Hailee had a great time at her party and all her wonderful friends came to celebrate her 5th birthday with us! It was so much FUN! This was doll year. Hailee got 3 DOLLS... LOL! They are still in the box so we will see what happens with them all. LOL! My friend Lyndsay came and took pictures of all Hailee and her friends and I will post those tomorrow.

Party business

This is going to be a quick post :o), but starting today starts the business of Hailee's birthday party. I am making homemade cookies for Hailee's class and making a dinner for our Pastor and his wife as they were just blessed with an adopted little girl (newborn baby). I can't even imagine what they are going through... from trying to have everything for her to trying to bond with the sweet angel. I know how important these meals are :o). Then tomorrow I will begin the making of the Rainbow cake (pics to come) and continuing to get everything ready for the BIG party. I am so hoping my mom will be able to make it. She got sick Saturday and is not feeling well at all. I totally understand her considering not coming because she doesn't want to give any of this to us, but I want her to be here. Anyways, that is what is going on here. I hope y'all are all having a GREAT day!

Hailee is turning 5

I just cannot believe it! Hailee is turning 5 on Saturday. It is amazing how time has flown by so quickly. I love her to death and again... I can't believe she is turning 5!

Yesterday, she went on her first field trip to Dewberry farms WITHOUT ME. They didn't need anymore drivers (to drive the kids) and I couldn't chaperon because I had Heidi with me and all my attention wouldn't be on the kids (which made sense). It kind of hurt my feelings but WHATEVER! I can't let my feelings get the best of me :o).

Saturday is Hailee's real birthday and her birthday party. Isn't it just so GREAT when you are little and your birthday falls on the weekend and you can have your REAL birthday on your birthday party?!? I don't know but that is how I think of it and I loved that when I was young.

I am going to post more this weekend with pictures and birthday pictures.

One more thing... I have been saying for so long that I can't wait when Hailee starts Kindergarten! I really can't, but something about her turning 5 is just really getting to me. It actually makes tears wheal (sp?) up in my eyes when I think about her birthday and how that time has gone by so fast. But, I am so excited for the years to come... no really... I am :o).
